What is Cynon Taf Community Housing Group?

Cynon Taf Community Housing Group is a social landlord registered with the Welsh Assembly Government (No. L145). It has limited liability through the Industrial & Provident Societies Acts (Reg. No. 30399R) and is recognised as a charity by the Inland Revenue.

The Group was formed by the amalgamation of Cynon Taf Housing Association which mainly provided social housing in Cynon Valley, and Pontypridd & District Housing Association which carried out this same function in Taff Ely. Both organisations were also involved in providing for special housing needs and community regeneration.

A subsidiary, Care & Repair Rhondda Cynon Taf provides services throughout the county which aim at enabling older people to remain at home in greater comfort, warmth and security.

Our purpose is:

To meet housing need
To provide good quality well managed homes
To provide the service that clients want
To ensure an effective ‘care and repair’ service, and
To support the communities within which we work
